Podcast Movement Mini Highlights

A super cheat sheet of Podcast Movement. The biggest take-a-ways are email signatures and using recorded testimonials on your show for social proof.

A doctor’s perspective podcasts and in so today we have secret key takeaways from the podcast movement event. Man, let me tell you I would love that he did give me all the big deals Pat Flynn, John Lee Dumas. I mean, that’s the two biggest ones I can think of that most people at least have heard of. But uh, you can learn a lot.

Here are some of the takeaways that I got from this episode. In your emails, you want to have links that say, Hey, here’s my podcast, here’s my social media, of course, that’s obvious the length of your episodes doesn’t matter. It just based on what your audience wants, you know, some audiences just enjoy a 20-minute ride to work, I got it and I’m done. Some people like myself enjoy the long hour to an hour and a half shows and just break it up into different car rides. I just depend on what they want. So somebody who doesn’t only wants a short podcast, maybe they like them a little Minnesota. Other than that, you know, it may not be a good fit for them.

Unfortunately, one of the things you can do is add social proof to your episodes.  And I haven’t done that much in the past. But like they’re not podiatry series, which is Episode 119. Through about 124. And Episode 100. I have some testimonials from past guests who said nice things about me or about the show who they thought about it. So like in episode 100, I put all of them on there. And it’s a big number for a podcast that reaches. So that’s the first part of that episode, what I took those again and broke them up into each episode of the podcast series. And just going to kind of give a little social proof. If I get more testimonials, and reviews on Apple podcast, podcast, Spotify, all that, you know.

I try to read it because it’s the social proof people are listening to is helping you know what that thing. And of course, if you’re going to do Facebook ads, you might do a carousel and where each one has a different image and wording. If I had a crew, I’m sure I could take, oh, this 30 seconds of the podcast was good, good. Let me put that as a clip. And then put that as a clip. And all in all six of them are four of them whatever money you want to do, if you’re advertising, like the big series, for instance, you know, each person could have a different picture, and you can rotate them, you might get better response on you to know, ads, especially if you’re targeting so this is the piece that I’m saying like a month ago.

I wish I would have had a lot more of these many songs ready to go because so much I learned from like social media marketing, buffer, perpetual traffic.

So anyway, hope you’re enjoying these reach out on social media. Let’s start a conversation. reference the number many so that you like, and let’s talk, I know there’s some background noise on these. I was recording them in the office, I’m gonna try to get rid of some of that extra noise if I can. I will say this, I was going to record these and I had about five or six done. While I was working out I was walking by a fountain and the microphone that I had was picking up so much noise.

So I’m trying this new one. It’s a rode lavelier. So I’m going to carry this around whenever I’m listening to podcasts and walking. I’ll record a couple and just see how the quality sounds with that and if I can remove it. Hopefully, that’ll work and I won’t have to like re-recording in the studio. I think you’ll get like five to it as well. So we’ll just see, but I know it’s annoying. It is not so good.

Anyway, but I got this. That’s what I got for today. You just went  #behindthecurtain with Justin Trosclair.
