The included jar is empty on purpose. You supply your own conductive gel AKA your favorite lotion. If you can’t get the device to beep while locating the acupuncture point it could be because your skin is too dry. Put some lotion on that area of skin, wait a few minutes and it should work again… assuming the battery is charged. I’ve noticed that the lights will still come on when the battery is too low for the current to actually flow when you press the button. Recharge it if you notice this happens.
